Harold (Hal)'s Story

After North Dallas I went to Texas A&M. I joined the Air Force in 1963, received my commission and became a Navigator. I flew the Florida straights between Key West and Havana, Cuba from '64 till '67. Then I went to pilot training at Reese AFB in Lubbock. Upon graduation I flew C-141's for a year and a half.Then transferred to rescue helicopters in South East Asia for a year. I flew rescue for about 9 of my 22 year career. alth. I retired in 2004, moved to Alabama to be near friends, and built my dream home. After 16 years in real estate I knew what I wanted. When I retired from the Air Force I had over 9,000 hours of flying time and over a 100 lives saved. That felt good! When I closed my Real Estate practice my net worth was over $ 2.3 million. That also felt good. I met my wife, Gloria, in Florida in 1966 and we married in 1967. We have been happily married for 46+ years. We never had children. We love to read and garden and enjoy our home. We have good health and have truly been blessed.
